3 things to tell your Wedding Planner before you start planning your wedding.

Wedding is not just a bunch of rituals mixed with some theme and decor . Your wedding day is a day which you’ll always remember for the rest of your life and is a part of you and your personality . While Planning a wedding is fun but it’s not a cake walk , before you start you should know this, that your wedding planner is your counter part in this journey and they would guide you through out the process .
Always remember to
“ Ask as many questions as you can!” I am sure we all have encountered this statement in school, by parents, at work. We have always been taught to Ask questions to get clarity…
Well, that should be the right way to begin to plan for a perfect wedding, the kind which you want your guests to talk about for years.
So begin by asking the right questions!
And, I am pretty sure you must have already penned down a list of questions to ask your wedding planners.
But for a change let us turn the table around!
And let’s see what are those 3 most important things which your planner would want to know and you should let them know before you guys sit down discussing.

  1. Your idea of a dream wedding:
Yes, we know you want a unique wedding and definitely something different. Something creative. Now That’s literally what every bride thinks of her wedding to be!
But, hey how different are you willing to do things. Would you dare to go out of the box and do something that has never been done before like a ‘Ghothic’ themed wedding, or an ‘African tribal’ themed mehendi, or the pre-wedding party theme ‘sex in the city’?
So you got to tell your planner how experimental are you as a person? and what kind of mood you want to set for your wedding. Your planner needs to know about your personal sense of style, how you are as a couple and the way you like to live to be able to design something that appeals to and talks about you!
Unique , different or creative are just vague adjectives , your aspirations should always be quantifiable.

2. If You Have any colour scheme or a theme in your mind:Before meeting your wedding planner have references ready.Let your planner know what kind of theme you have already thought about or have done your ‘pinterest’ hunt. Or, are you looking for any specific colours ? Basically, these color preferences will help your planner to decide upon the themes and the designs they should consider while designing each function. So, tell them about your google searches, pinned pictures from pinterest and those references which you have downloaded or magazine tear pages. This will help them to understand what you’re hoping to achieve better!

  1. How much are you planning to spend for the wedding?

Your planner doesn’t know you or your family and how you want your wedding celebrations to look like. But before doing all this detailing, it is always advisable to give your planner a very clear idea over your planned budget for the wedding. They should know how much you want to spend or set for this particular wedding.
It’s kind of a guideline which will help your planner to find the right design in your set budget. The more you stay transparent, the better advice and output you will get from your planner.

So, these are the 3 top most important pointers which you should discuss before starting to plan your wedding. The thumb rule is; the more your planner knows about you and your partner and the family culture, there’ll be better chances of him/ her being able to execute the wedding exactly how you have imagined it.

And above all think of your wedding planner as your bestfriend , share your doubts ,ask questions, seek advice and always communicate . We wish you a happy planning ahead
